Luca Bigliardi suggested me the great idea of interfacing polygen and asterisk, through festival.
Think of the potential: you can create dial plans totally autogenerated by polygen. Or you can ask polygen to generate messages to entertain the public while waiting. Or you can create the Infinitely Optimistic Switchboard using the Infinite Optimism Generator:
